We have found that the best to embed sound into a Joomla article or module is to use simple coding.

First of all make sure you turn off your text editor, then simply apply the code in the page. Using editors in Joomla seems to strip all coding that has been entered unless you the PRE tags.

We use an editor switcher that allows you to turn your editor on and off or select an alternative editor when you are editing an article, very useful for the advanced users amongst us who want to put code in an article.

I personally prefer to pre-write my articles or other items using my favourite html editor then copy and paste the html code into Joomla.
